Founded by Chloe Grimshaw and Paul Franklyn in 2016, they created Plinth in order to publish artists’ objects and merchandise with the belief that all things beautiful, interesting and affordable things are made for everyone. The philosophy of the brand is to focus on the ‘democratisation of art’.
They commission unique, quirky products, limited editions and multiples from the world’s leading contemporary artists, designers and photographers – from Turner prize winners to Magnum Photographers. Meanwhile, Plinth’s radical approach to site-specific art and design has seen us curate four pop-up exhibition and retail spaces in London and Paris to date – all to widespread critical acclaim.
