The name ‘Double A’ represents the initials of the founders’ names, Ayah Aboutera and Aliaa Aboutera. Abouteras' father, who was among the first to begin producing leather in Egypt in 1977, served as the inspiration for Double A. The Aboutera sisters want to draw attention to the high caliber of Egyptian leather production. As one of the few leather apparel producers and designers in the Middle East, Double A works to dispel misconceptions about leather and its use, setting the trend that leather can be worn all year round and is not just for the winter.
Double A always strives to create clothing that enables women to express their femininity and power through what they are wear, giving them the confidence to stand up for themselves and make a statement.
More than 5 Egyptian employees manufacture each Double A piece, doing everything possible to deliver impeccable quality. Each item at Double A is entirely handmade in Egypt using the techniques of cutting, stud insertion, and leather fringe shredding.
The brand is built on devotion and hard work. For Double A, it is more than just production and design—it is a tale of which they are all incredibly proud.
