Tres J came to life with one goal in mind: sparking newfound relationships and community in an ever-changing world while challenging what luxury means to the consumer. Founder, Jess Jan, originally from Texas began her career in fashion at Moda Operandi seeing her move from New York City to Hong Kong, and continued her career with NET-A-PORTER & MR PORTER. Inspired by the people and the places, she set out to design a line inspired by her own life and her own hand-sourced vintage gold and pearl chain necklace. The piece was created with the materials she sourced from an antique market, seven years earlier. Working together with a craftsman in Hong Kong, the founder has designed a signature initial necklace line, The OG Chain, inspired by her own 'J' necklace with the wish of sharing those same feelings of self-confidence and empowerment that she feels, whenever she puts it on and whenever someone would comment on it - striking up a conversation and connection. Tres J is built upon foundations of redefining expectations, rewriting luxury and reimagining timeless and contemporary. All in hopes of creating space for impactful conversation, newness, and evolution – one which is ageless and enduring.
